Responsibilities :
Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, engines, and other critical vehicle systems. Execute routine vehicle maintenance tasks and thoroughly inspect vehicle to determine service needs. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs efficiently. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins to guide repairs on primarily European and Asian vehicles. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Assist with auto estimating processes to determine repair costs accurately while maintaining high-quality standards.
Experience:
Proven service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, schematics, and electronic troubleshooting techniques. Hands-on experience repairing powertrain components, suspension components and electrical components Knowledge of ADAS calibration procedures and modern automotive safety features is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic software. Previous experience working with European and Asian brands is a plus but not required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients(especially in writing). We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage service operations efficiently. Prior experience and automotive service management skills are highly valued.
Responsibilities :
Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their vehicle needs and concerns. Explain recommended services and repairs clearly, providing accurate auto estimating and service writing. Recommend additional services based on customer needs while maintaining integrity and transparency. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work. Manage vehicle drop-off and pick-up processes, including cash handling when applicable. Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle status. Assist in diagnosing automotive issues using automotive diagnostics tools, especially pre-scans of vehicle systems and ensure documentation is saved and added to customer files when applicable Promote customer satisfaction through excellent service and follow-up on completed work. Support sales activities related to automobile sales when necessary.
Experience:
Strong knowledge of automotive repair procedures including mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance, transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension systems, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, auto body repair, air brakes, alignments, and other automotive diagnostics. Experience in auto estimating and service writing is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to recommend services while maintaining high customer satisfaction levels. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships. Background in mechanic work or service technician roles is advantageous but not mandatory. Familiarity with automotive sales processes is a plus.
